FAQs

If you have any questions other than what we've listed here, please reach out to Grace Grigg, mother of the bride, at ggrigg@md.metrocast.net.
Question

So what's going on with the wedding?

Answer

There's obviously a lot of uncertainty around whether or not people can legally have the weddings, graduations, and other life events they've been planning for - let alone whether or not it's appropriate. Given all of these uncertainties as well as our own concerns regarding the nationwide management of the COVID-19 pandemic, we've decided to forgo the big party for now. (We're sorry - we're missing you already!) We've opted instead for a super small outdoor ceremony to comply with whatever social distancing guidelines may be in place in Virginia in October.

Question

Will there be another party?

Answer

We sure hope so! We're planning to cross our fingers and offer up hopes and prayers that the U.S. is safer in the spring than it is currently. Once the pandemic is under control and/or is no longer an issue, we're hoping to host a big backyard party with all of our guests. We want to see you, we want to celebrate with you, and we definitely want to have a drink with you -- we're just not sure when that will be at this point. So, hang in there!

Question

Can I watch your wedding on Zoom, FaceTime, or Skype?

Answer

As much as we would love to have you there in-person and/or remotely, it's just not our style. We've maintained our professional photography vendor and will happily and liberally share photos of the day with you once we get them back. Kind of like the olden days.

Question

Do I need to send a gift?

Answer

You do not need to send a gift. We've put together some registry items for those who would like to send something, but it is neither expected nor requested (though, of course it's appreciated!). If you do want to send a gift, you are more than welcome to purchase from our registry or off our registry if there's something that speaks to our relationship or made you think of us. We're also just as content with your well wishes or a thoughtful card, so scribe away.

For all the days along the way
