Our families and friends are located all around the world, so we have chosen a destination that is both exciting to us and somewhat accessible for all. We fully acknowledge that we are asking guests to spend money and time to come to our wedding - and that for many, this means not being able to attend. Please know we completely understand. We hope coming to our wedding can be considered a fun vacation rather than an obligation or stressor! If you can't make it, just buy us a drink the next time you see us - but please let us know asap -

Where Should I Stay?
Answer
There are many options to choose from! Lisbon is about 30 minutes away by car. Ericeira is a beach town 20 minutes away. Mafra is a beautiful, historical town 15 minutes away. Gradil is the village the venue is in. We are not doing any hotel blocks. Should I Rent a Car?
Answer
Uber operates throughout the entire region so you can get by without one. The Venue is a 30 minute drive from Lisbon airport (~30 euro uber). If you want more flexibility to explore nearby towns or the beach you can rent a car, uber, or check public transport options well in advance. The venue will make sure there are taxis/transport options the night of the wedding to get people back to their accommodation safely. Feel free to park and leave your car at the venue overnight.

What Should I Wear?

Welcome BBQ: informal, wear what you'd like! The bride & groom-to-be will be in nice dinner-wear. The Wedding: Semi-formal/Cocktail. That means suits (or equivalent), cocktail dresses, or gowns. We just want everyone looking and feeling their best. If you have any questions, please reach out!

What Is The Weather Like?

The vineyard is at a higher elevation, so account for cooler weather than you see in Lisbon! Weather in early September at the venue has been described to us as chilly in the evenings and fresh to warm in the daytime. A light jacket is definitely recommended. Please make sure to check up-to-date weather forecasts as you are packing.

How Can I Stay Connected?

We highly recommend you use whatsapp as a messaging app outside of the country. You can download google or apple maps of the area prior to leaving the country. To ensure you have data, you can buy a sim card at the airport or download an esim. Many phone plans allow you to add a 10-30 day international data and calling package. What About Meals In Between Events?

For guests staying on the Quinta property, we will provide some basic foods, snacks, and drinks for breakfasts and lunch. If there are specific foods you would like to have with you we recommend you bring them along.
