We’re Getting Married!

We met in an English class in the beginning of the fall semester at Mesa College. Through a “get to know you” exercise for the class, we found out that we were both culinary majors and it immediately sparked conversation. In the coming weeks, we hung out after class listening to music, watching our favorite shows, bonding over our love of food and rarely doing our homework. We became very fond of eachother and enjoyed the other’s company. After a few months of hanging out together, Terrence had invited me to a concert at an intimate and small venue. I remember being excited but nervous because, at the time, I only saw him as a good friend and I knew he had a crush on me. While in the concert, I began to feel more relaxed and started to enjoy myself until a man in front of me started aggressively dancing to the music, forgetting how small this venue is and how close he was to me. Seeing how uncomfortable I started to become, and increasingly annoyed, Terrence took his hand and gently moved me aside to where he was standing as he took my place. In that moment, I felt safe with him and from that day forward, I knew he was meant to be way more than my friend. Overtime, we fell in love and the rest is history!
