Question

When and where are the ceremony and reception?

Answer

The ceremony and reception both take place on Saturday, September 28, 2024. The ceremony and reception are at separate locations approximately 5 minutes apart (4 miles). The ceremony will take place at the Watters' home, 4718 Sailors Lane, Oxford MD 21654 at 2pm. The reception will be held at the Tred Avon Yacht Club, 102 W Strand Rd, Oxford, MD 21654 starting at 5pm. A shuttle will be provided to and from Oxford and the Watters' residence due to limited parking. If you must drive, please plan on carpooling.

Question

Is there a Welcome Gathering?

Answer

Yes! A welcome gathering will be hosted by the Watters' at 4718 Sailors Lane, Oxford MD 21654 on Friday, September 27, 2024 from 5pm-9pm. All are welcome and we hope that all will come! We will be providing a shuttle from Oxford to and from the Watters' house for the Welcome Gathering too!

Question

How do I get around?

Answer

We kindly ask you to carpool to the Watters' house if not taking the shuttle due to limited parking on the Watters' lane. Uber and Lyft options will be highly limited or unavailable from the town of Easton. They are NOT available in Oxford. A shuttle service will be provided between Robert Morris Inn (and a designated location in Oxford for our guests staying at Airbnbs) and the Watters' house for the welcome gathering on Friday and the ceremony on Saturday. Due to low reservations at the Holiday Inn (Easton) we will likely not be providing shuttle service from there. We are glad most people are choosing to stay in the town of Oxford. It's much more convenient and we think you'll love it!

Question

What do I need to know about driving in the area?

Answer

The town of Oxford has a very strict 25 mph strict speed limit in the town and 35mph entering and leaving. This is strictly enforced and cops have been known to pull over drivers going more than 1mph over the speed limit! The Oxford road connects the towns of Easton and Oxford, which is about 15 minutes apart. The road is windy and often full of deer and other wildlife crossing. Please exercise caution and don't drive above the 50mph speed limit. Furthermore, we hope you will leave your cars at your accommodation and take advantage of the provided shuttle from Oxford. NOTE: The bride, groom, and their families please ask that if you plan on driving on the night of the wedding that you choose a designated driver!!!
