We were both in high school when we were in the same touring group on a trip to Europe where we got to explore seven different countries. Ironically we never really talked much during the trip, Lana would always see Jack's social media posts about aviation throughout the next almost decade and give them a like or comment. Almost as if Lana was manifesting something, aviation came into her life in 2016 where she became a flight attendant. Then nearly 5 years into the job, Lana was on an overnight in Ontario, California and woke up to a Facebook message from Jack Parkin. Lana's initial thought was, "What in the world?" We took the next couple days and caught up with one another. Jack was going back to South Dakota to hunt with his dad for the week from Waterloo, IA where he was an air traffic controller. Lana had time off already and it so happened to perfectly time out with Jack's time in South Dakota. During that time there we reconnected over Circus Wings in Aberdeen, SD and a hike with a picnic at Sica Hollow State Park in Sisseton, SD. Little did we both know what we were getting into, but we both knew we had something special together.
