In the Fall of 2014, Jack and Kara met in the most romantic setting possible – in line at the campus Chipotle. While waiting to order in line, they recognized each other vaguely from family Christmas cards, but instantly bonded as they got to know each other. A few weeks later, Jack asked Kara out on their first date -- Friday lunch at Noodles and Company in between class and practice. It was a romantic walk from the South Quad dorms to a pasta date! After a few weeks of evening rides back from study hall, movie dates in the dorms and growing closer together, the rest was history. Almost 6 years to the date of first meeting, Jack proposed to Kara on the docks of the beautiful Lake Leelanau in Michigan. The story of their love seemed destined from the start. Their dads were quarterbacks together at Michigan and won the 1981 Rose Bowl. They grew up seeing one other in family Christmas cards every holiday season. They even spent time together (unknowingly) at the late Theresa Wangler's famous Michigan football tailgates enjoying her famous chili and other incredible meals. The Lord had been working in mysterious ways throughout their lives the entire time, and chose the perfect moment to bring them together as a couple. We are so thankful to start this next chapter in our lives as the next generation of Mr. and Mrs. Wangler, and cannot wait to celebrate our marriage with you!
