Travel Note
There are regular direct flights to Nantucket from NYC (LGA, JFK, EWR and HPN) and Boston (BOS). When you arrive to Nantucket Memorial Airport, you can grab a taxi or call an Uber/Lyft to bring you to your accommodations. There are a few options to get to Nantucket via ferry. You can take the Hy-Line or the Steamship ferries that depart regularly from Hyannis, MA, with 1-hour and 2-hour ferry options. Hyannis is about a 1.5-hour drive from Boston and 4-5-hour drive from NYC, depending on traffic. Day trips from Hyannis are also an option for those that don't wish to stay overnight. You can also take the Seastreak ferry from New Bedford, MA, which is about a 3.5-4.5 hour drive from NYC and a 2 hour ferry to Nantucket.
Travel Note
Given that June in Nantucket is the start of peak wedding season, we recommend that you look into booking your accommodations as soon as possible to ensure that you are getting the most cost effective option. Note most hotels will not begin booking until late Fall 2023. We recommend looking into a house rental via Airbnb, VRBO, or one of the local realtors as we have found this to be the most cost effective way to stay on the island. We recommend J Pepper Frazier if you wish to use a realtor. If you do wish to stay at a hotel, there are several options on the island. Our favorites are below: The White Elephant The Summer House The Nantucket Hotel Blue Iris Faraway Hotel Greydon House Life House Pippa Hotel 21 Broad Centerboard If you are looking to rent a car to get around the island, there are a few different rental companies that you can book through. We recommend doing this if you plan to stay for more than just the weekend so that you can explore the island. Nantucket Windmill Auto Rental Nantucket Affordable Rentals Nantucket Island Rent a Car
