FAQs

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

There is plenty of parking for the ceremony and the reception parking is explained in detail in the scheduling tab.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please plan on arriving at least 15 minutes early so we can get everything started on time.

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

When you click on the RSVP tab and enter your name, you will see if you were given a plus one. If there is no plus one option, then we ask that you please do not bring a guest. We unfortunately are unable to accommodate any additional guests than what has already been decided. We thank you for understanding that we would like to keep our wedding as an intimate evet with close friends and family.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

Similar to guests, you will be able to see if your children were invited when you search up your name to RSVP. If you do not see your child's name, then we ask that you please take this opportunity to have a fun adult date night. Although we love all your children, the only children that have been invited are either family members or very close family friends. Thank you for understanding.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We ask that you dress in garden party attire or "dressy casual" attire. Please keep in mind that our reception is going to be on an island in a tent so please plan shoes accordingly to be comfortable walking on grass and in and out of a boat. Also, of course please do not where white or any shades similar such as cream or ivory.

Question

Your reception is on an island? What?

Answer

Yes! Jacinta grew up spending her summers at her family's cottage on Carlton Island and we thought that would be the perfect place to celebrate our marriage. There will be a ferry boat service that will boat everyone out to the island. The reception will be in a tent, looking right out at the Saint Lawrence River with a beautiful view of the sunset.

Question

How long is the boat ride?

Answer

The boat ride to the island will be about 20 minutes. The boat fits about 50 people so it will take two trips there. However, there are enough people who have places to stay on the island that there only needs to be one trip back and that will be at 11:00pm. Additionally there will be a trip at 9:00pm for those who have to leave early.

Question

Will I be able to leave the reception early?

Answer

Yes, there will be a ferry ride back from the reception part way through so that those who need to leave early can do so.
