If you've ever had to scramble to find a random date to an event, then you know it's not fun and very stressful! As ADPi's formal was quickly approaching, I had no clue who I was going to bring and I refused to go alone. My little suggested I go with Brad and because I had no other options I said sure (so rude, I know). Despite my hesitations, formal was actually a lot of fun and Brad was the best date. After formal Brad insisted that I start hanging out with him and even though I was still very hesitant, after a few dates I knew I really liked this boy and the rest is history!
Even though the proposal was on April 15th, the events leading up to the big day started months before. After telling my family that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with Abby, finding the perfect ring, and asking her father for permission to ask for her hand in marriage, I then had to figure out a way to make this the most memorable day of both of our lives. After talking with Abby's sister, I came up with a plan to pop the question. With Abby having graduation photos being done on the same day, I thought of no other perfect time than to get down on one knee. While Abby was taking her graduation photos in front of Tiger Stadium at LSU, I was standing behind the PMAC waiting for the green light to come around and surprise Abby with three dozen red roses. As I came walking around the side of the basketball arena and handed Abby her flowers, I got down on one knee and asked if she would marry me. With tears running down her face, she said yes!
