It's All Good Baby, Baby

First comes love, then comes marriage. You know the rest.

(and no, we're not expecting... we just really love Biggie)

Our Story

...

We are so happy you are here! We can’t wait to (finally) say ‘I do’ in front of our most cherished family and friends! Engaged at the end of a pandemic, we couldn't wait. As the world slowly returned to normalcy we decided we didn't want to chance planning a wedding with a possible 3rd lockdown to "flatten the curve." Plus, we had dreams of being married in Malta where Jason's grandmother is from. The courthouse in Stockton became the next best thing after being turned down in Novato (where Jason has fond childhood memories with the same grandma and his Gaddini side of the family) because we weren't current residents of Marin. Jumping through hoops our Stockton courthouse venture was truly a beautiful day, except when we were missing all of you! With Carrie's parents as our witnesses we were married on February 7, 2022 and have a pretty funny story about how our Justice was also the secretary who checked us in and then put on her gown, pretended she wasn't the same person, and did the dang thing! (We were both hysterically laughing inside and trying to hold it together in front of her. Disclaimer: she didn't think it was as funny as we did.) It's hard to pinpoint exactly when we met. Jason and Johnny (Carrie's brother), are longtime friends and Jason was in and out of the Costamagna's house throughout high school and beyond. It wasn't until about 2012 after Carrie moved back to her childhood home in Acampo after living down south that we had mutual friends (from 2 different friend groups) who were hanging out constantly. Looking back, it's crazy to realize how connected we were. During that time we dated other people. We worked at the same job (LOL Rusted Mic). We lived down the street from each other. We vacationed together. One of our favorite memories of just us two prior to dating (maybe 2013/2014-ish) is when Jason drove us to the Bay Area to stay at a friend's for the night. The next day on the way home in pitch-black darkness we ended up on the worst most desolate part of HWY 4 during construction in Jason's OLD Toyota Camry and literally almost went off the edge into reeds multiple times because both of our vision in darkness with oncoming cars is shot (astigmatisms for the win). Fast forward to more than a few years later, both of our relationships ended around the same time and almost exactly one year later at our Matron (haha) of Honor, Jillian's, 'JIVE 35' birthday party we had our first kiss and the rest is history. We've had our (un)fair share of ups and downs very early in our relationship. A few days short of our 1 year dating anniversary Jason was in an accident that had him in bed for months and out of work for exactly 1 year and 1 day. We moved in together and Carrie became a makeshift nurse, with the help of Kayla (one of our Bridesmaids and the BEST nurse), for a long while. We were ecstatic when we took that La-Z-Boy recliner to the dump! Somewhere in between, Jason's parents shared with us his mom had been diagnosed with cancer. We'll never forget that conversation or the day she became our guardian Angel. Around 6 months later, Jason's grandmother Theresa joined her husband Angelo and their daughter Kathy, Jason's mom, in Heaven. Most days were feelings of isolation and loss. Each of us dealing with sorrow but for different reasons and with different perspectives. 2019-2020 tested our relationship in ways we couldn't imagine. The outcome is there's literally nothing that can stand in our way as a couple, we've been through it all and are confident we can and will withstand any obstacle life throws our way. Our commitment to each other is something we celebrate and cherish. Lucky number 7: Jason is born on the 7th, we were married on the 7th, and we get to have our wedding with our favorite people on the 7th! We are filled with joy and can't wait to see you there!!!
