Wedding tradition , where the bride’s sister sprinkles water on the groom with a neem tree’s twig in order to protect her brother-in-law from evil eye and any harm. In exchange she gets a small gift from the groom.

Jaimala

4:30 pm

In this ceremony first the bride garlands the groom as symbol of accepting him as her husband and in return the groom reciprocates the same.

Phere

5:00 pm

The wedding ceremony is performed in presence of the sacred fire or agni. The couple goes around the fire and takes seven rounds. Following the pheras, vermilion powder or Sindoor is applied on bride’s forehead and Mangalsutra is put around her neck by the groom. This concludes the wedding rituals.
