We're Getting Married

It was a rainy 5 am morning at the coffee shop. Caitlin had just transferred to the same location as Ishaiq in Huntington Beach without knowing who each other was. Cait was already beginning her opening shift when Shake knocked on the side door to be let in. She looked up, saw a strange man with a hoodie trying to get in the store before they were open, and fully ignored the knock. Rightfully ticked off, Ishaiq gave the door a harder knock and stared down at this strange woman he had never seen in the years he worked there. She finally came to the door, let him in, and thus began the awkward start to their relationship... or so one would think... When we hopped behind the coffee bar to get the day started, there was an immediate connection between us. No boring small talk or weird smiles at one another, just a natural conversation and even some laughs. An instant gel formed between us and by the end of our shifts, one could mistake us for being lifelong friends. It didn't take much longer after that for people to start assuming we'd be lifelong partners, and they couldn't be more right.
