Isaac and Hannah originally met through school, both attending a local homeschool co-op in Springfield, OR. However, they didn't really get to know each other until after Hannah graduated from high school. When Hannah graduated and Isaac returned from a year long mission trip to Louisiana and Israel, they began chatting more during volleyball and frisbee games with mutual friends through the summer of 2020. Something clicked. Isaac began inviting Hannah to some college groups he attended, and Hannah began putting in as much effort as she could to see him there! Before long, they were texting almost all the time, constantly teasing each other about their texted typos and bad grammar. . . and at one point Isaac accidentally texted her a MASSIVE kissy-faced emoji. Although he was mortified, Hannah thought it was hilarious, and she began to catch on to the fact that he might actually like her! Eventually she invited Isaac to come to her end of season work party, he stayed through all of cleanup, and then officially asked her out on a formal date. She said that she would love that! They began dating on September 25th, 2020. Though the first date was a little awkward, especially since neither one of them had dated anyone before, they quickly grew fond of one another. It only took them a few weeks to say "I love you." Not even a month into dating, Isaac was already asking Hannah's parents what it would take to marry their daughter. They spent the next couple years doing almost everything together, and eventually Isaac got the okay from Hannah's dad to pop the question. While Isaac was talking with her father, Hannah, in tears, tried calling him 17 times because she didn't know where he was! Plus, he was late for their nightly phone call. The next day while driving home from a game night, Hannah wouldn't stop asking what he was doing the night before when she couldn't get a hold of him. Eventually he gave her an answer. . . He let her know that the night before, when she'd called so many times, he was asking her dad for permission to marry her. Very early at 1am on July 3rd, 2022, Isaac got down on one knee in front of his house and asked Hannah to marry him. She said yes! See photos from the past couple of years in our gallery.
