Proposal Story

Sometime around April, my cousin's fiance invited Isaac and I to attend her wedding planners annual gala in Philly, which was going to be held during the end of May. Isaac was excited to attend and was able to convince me to attend. A week before the event, my cousin's fiance called me and told me that the event was on May 28th. She told me to get my hair done and an outfit. I was told not to worry about my flight ticket and that my cousin would take care of my flight, meaning i was getting a standby ticket. Isaac ordered my outfit and shoes, which were to be delivered to my apartment in Houston. On the 26th, I got myself ready to head to the airport. My outfit and shoes didn't arrive, but I figured I'll get something when I got to Philly. Got to the airport and waited for my flight. When It was time for me to board, I was informed that there were no other available seats, and that flight was the last one going out of Houston. Tired and frustrated, I called Isaac and told him, "Let's just for get it." Isaac and I planned to celebrate our one year anniversary two weeks after. He worked with my cousin and was able to get me a ticket to NYC, and it was arranged for my cousin to pick me up and drive me to Philly on the 28th of May. I woke up on the 27th, and as I was preparing to make my way back to the airport for my morning flight, my dress and shoes were delivered. I got on a flight to NYC. As we were in the air, the pilot made an announcement and stated that there appears to be a storm in NYC, and the plane will be rerouting to Philly. I called my friend who was to pick me up at LaGuardia Airport. I asked her if it was raining in NYC, and she stated no. I informed her that my plane was heading to Philly, and she told me to ask to get out when we landed. The pilot reported that the plane will only be in Philly for 30 minutes to get fuel, and then the plane will make its way to NYC. I asked one of the flight attendants if I was able to de-plane, which they allowed. I called Isaac and explained everything to him, and he said, " Babe, this is the work of God." Surprisingly, my family knew of my proposal and displayed no hints. Waking up on the 28th of May felt like any other day, but I didn't know that was going to be my journey to becoming a fiance. I ran some errands with my cousin, and in the evening, I started getting ready for the Gala. I called Isaac, and he informed me that something came up and he would have to meet me at the Gala. My cousin's fiance came to pick me up and drove me to a hotel. She said that we had to pick up a friend. As we walked into the hotel, I saw a lot of people in the lobby area. To my surprise, they all were aware of what was happening and had been waiting for me. As we walked to the hotel courtyard, I saw the photographer running back and forth taking photos and my baby standing next to a sign which read, "Will You Marry Me." And that's where our journey towards Mr. & Mrs. Milling begins!! ❤️❤
