Amy and Scott first met at JMU but didn't get to know each other until they bonded over ESPN alerts at a friend's holiday party in DC. After months of dodging Scott's texts, Amy finally agreed to a first date. One date turned into two, then three... 50+ National's games, dozens of concerts, two kittens, and one house later, Scott worked up the courage to ask Amy to marry him.
Amy and Scott took a trip to Zion National Park. Scott knew he was going to propose on the trip but didn’t exactly have a plan of how or where. Under the night sky while they were camping? Or 1500 feet over the canyon at the top of Angels Landing? After carrying the ring around for 3 days, they hiked the North Gate Peaks trail and Scott popped the question. As they overlooked Kolob Terrace, Scott said to Amy “You know I love you very much and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?” With tears streaming down her face from behind her sunglasses and the next group of hikers coming around the corner, Amy said yes.
Due to local restrictions and concern for our guests health & safety, we've decided to postpone our wedding celebration to November 11, 2021. We will be making things official this year in a private ceremony and can't wait to say "I do" (again) with you next year!
