We met on the first day of high school orientation in 2004. We spent the next four years in the same advisory and friend group, but much to Ian's dismay we remained just friends until we re-connected in early 2018. Molly was working night shift and saw that Ian was out seeing a DJ that they both liked. She messaged him, wishing she could be there. We met up at music events and shows over the next few months, and that fall, Ian asked Molly out on their first real date. Things have been falling into place ever since...

Last December, we were on a camping trip to Salt Point, which was where we had our first getaway. Ian didn't realize this was where Molly first realized she wanted to marry him two years prior, and Molly didn't realize Ian had been searching for a ring. We went on a long hike, stopped for lunch, got lost in the forest, and recounted our happiest memories together as we made it down to our favorite spot on the beach. Just as the sun was setting, Ian shared how excited he was for our future together, got down on one knee, and Molly said "yes" :)
