Like many couples in this modern age, Ian and Heather met on Bumble. All was going smoothly until Ian busted out his obscure music references and Heather thought it wasn’t going to be a good match and let the conversation idle… for a while. Luckily Ian didn’t let the freeze last long and we quickly set up a first date. It wasn’t long into our date at Phantom Canyon in Colorado Springs until we realized just how much we had in common. Later down the road, Heather gave King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard a listen (she wasn’t disappointed).
On a rainy afternoon in December, Ian took Heather and some of their family to Moore Square in Raleigh for a family photo shoot (he claimed to be tired of being the designated cameraman and hired a photographer as a special Christmas gift!). Much to Heather’s surprise, while the shutter is clicking away, Ian went down on one knee and started, “I’ve been wanting to ask you this for a while…” And, well, it ended with Heather saying, “Obviously!”, because a simple “yes” didn’t seem good enough. A special evening of French 75s, dinner at Caffe Luna, and FaceTime calls with our loved ones ensued. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Arizona!
