Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We'd love to see our family and friends dressed up for our big day. Please dress to the theme of Semi Formal. No jeans or t-shirts please! Our wedding party will be wearing black so please avoid wearing that color. For our female guests, this could include Light and airy dresses, with/without floral patterns or vibrant/pastel or dark colors. Please avoid black and neon. Formal maxi dresses, tea-length dresses, or formal sundresses are excellent choices. For our male guests: Consider dark or light-colored suit separates, or a sports coat (tans, blues, grays) paired with a light/dark colored button up shirt underneath. Tie optional. Our ceremony and reception will be indoors but keep in mind, we will be in Texas!

Question

What are Semi Formal Garden Party attire examples?

Answer

Outside of the above description, I have placed an image in our photo gallery on this website to show further what men/women should wear. Take a look for examples!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We are excited to celebrate this day with our dearest family and friends and are hoping to keep the guest list limited to those on your invitation. When invitations are received, it will specify how many guests are included. Thank you for understanding our desire to keep our wedding an intimate celebration.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your little ones! However, we have decided that we are only able to accommodate children in the wedding party at our reception and those we have specified on the invitations. We hope you can use our wedding as a date night and look forward to you celebrating with us!

Question

Can we take our own photos and videos throughout the day?

Answer

Our ceremony will be unplugged. For this, we ask that our guests be present with us without distraction of phones or cameras. We want our guests to relax with us while our amazing photographer takes all of our beautiful photos not only for us but for all of you we would be happy to share them with! Aside from the ceremony, you are more than welcome to take photos and videos throughout the reception. We look forward to all of the memories made together!

Question

When should I arrive at the venue?

Answer

Our Ceremony begins at 4:30pm and so we ask that you arrive 15-20 minutes before the ceremony begins for seating. Doors will be closed promptly, and we will see you at the reception!

Question

What if I have Dietary restrictions?

Answer

Please let Ian or Hailey know as soon as possible so we can accommodate your dietary needs as we have a set menu.

Question

Do you have a registry?

Answer

Absolutely and thank you for your generous gifts! We have a registry listed on the "Registry" tab where you can select which store to view. We also have a honeymoon/starting out fund if you prefer!

Question

Assigned seating during the ceremony/reception?

Answer

Ceremony: Please sit where you like on either side! We ask that you please do not sit in any of the pews that say "Reserved" as that is saved for immediate family. Reception: We have a seating chart for your assigned seats.

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes, there is.

Question

Will the DJ take song requests?

Answer

We do have a set playlist with our DJ and he will not be taking song requests from guests. However, if you have a song idea please pass it along to us beforehand and we will let you know if it will be added!

Question

Will there be a cocktail hour?

Answer

Please enjoy this time mingling together with other guests as Ian and Hailey take wedding photos. Light snacks will be provided as well as bottomless mimosas!
