FOR DOMESTIC FLIGHTS: Please consider flying into Washington Reagan National Airport (DCA). This airport is conveniently located 10 minutes (4.2 Miles) by Uber from several of our room blocks. It is also metro accessible. It is about a 25 minute metro ride to Downtown Washington D.C. You may also fly into Baltimore Washington International Airport (BWI) which is a 45 minute drive to Downtown Washington D.C or fly into IAD as well.

A Little History The hotel is known as the "President's Hotel" and has a rich legacy of over 200 years, it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Willard first opened its doors in 1818 as a two-story row house. President Lincoln live on the 2nd floor of the hotel in 1861. Vice President Calvin Coolidge (a FIJI like the Groom) lived at The Willard for three years. MLK wrote his famous "I Have A Dream Speech" in his hotel room at the Willard. The bar is nicknames the "Oval Office of Bars". Many presidents and politicians including General Ulysses S. Grant enjoyed sipping on cocktails in this beautiful circular bar. A Little History Riggs Washington DC was built in 1891 as the new Riggs Bank building. The bank was known as the ‘Bank of Presidents’ as they handled the personal finances of many U.S. Presidents in addition to many of the embassies in Washington, D.C. Twenty three Presidents and their families banked with Riggs, including Martin Van Buren, John Tyler, Abraham Lincoln, Ulysses S. Grant, Dwight D. Eisenhower, and Richard Nixon. Accounts were also held by Senators Henry Clay, John C. Calhoun and Daniel Webster, American Red Cross founder Clara Barton and suffragist Susan B. Anthony. The bank described itself as "the most important bank in the most important city in the world". In 2020, it was completely refurbished to be an trendy hotel.
