Typically it is only a 1.5 hour drive from San Diego to Julian. However, our wedding is during the height of "Apple Season" which can add significant time to your travel. Especially if your hotel is in the town of Julian. Please plan accordingly.
Parking will not be available on the day of the wedding at the Ranch. Please see shuttle schedule below. If you are choosing to drive yourself, please plan to valet park at William Heise County Park where we will have a valet staging area. From there, a shuttle will take you the rest of the way down the 1-mile dirt road to the venue.
The Ranch does not have a physical address. For directions, google William Heise County Park and be prepared to veer right (before you reach the ranger station) to head down the dirt road that says "authorized vehicles only"
Shuttle schedule for Saturday: Departure times to take guests to the venue o Julian Lodge: 2:45pm (multiple shuttles) o Orchard Hill Inn: 2:45pm (one shuttle) o Apple Tree Inn: 2:45pm (two shuttles) o Camp Marston: 3:00pm (two shuttles) o Tucker Peak Lodge: 3:25pm (one shuttle) o Shadow Mountain Ranch: 3:30pm (one shuttle) If you are not staying at one of these hotels, please use the Julian Lodge as your pick-up spot. Following the reception, shuttles will be available throughout the night to return you to your hotel.
There is a big parking lot next to The Cooler. If you end up enjoying a few beverages and would prefer to leave your car in the parking lot overnight, we will be providing two shuttles from 7:00 – 11:00pm to take guests back to their respective hotels.

Dressy casual. For men, we would suggest a jacket but no tie is required. For ladies, a dress or slacks. The terrain is uneven. We recommend flats or wedges for ladies.
This is casual. No shuttles provided, so please drive your own cars. Carpooling would be smart. Cars can park at the Ranch on Sunday.
