How We Met

Organized Chaos + Mad Taco

Marshall and Hannah’s love story began in the heart of Aggieland, where they were both fortunate to be part of an incredible organization called Project Sunshine. This organization was all about bringing joy and smiles to the faces of children with disabilities by organizing fun and memorable events. Each of these gatherings was a whirlwind of organized chaos, but it was after one particular event that their paths first crossed. One Sunday after an event a mutual friend invited Hannah and Marshall out to eat at Mad Taco. As the three of them savored their tacos and exchanged stories, there was an undeniable chemistry in the air. Marshall, being the shy soul he is, needed a little nudge to take the next step. It was Iman, the gracious matchmaker, who seized the moment and insisted that Marshall got Hannah’s contact information before the lunch was over. This was the beginning of their journey, and a wonderful reminder that some of the most treasured connections are born from the most unexpected and spontaneous moments. Hannah and Marshall can’t wait to share this new chapter of their lives with you and continue the adventure that began with a bit of organized chaos and a shared meal at Mad Taco.

The Proposal

Just a Random Wednesday

Hannah had no idea her life was going to change on a random, unsuspecting Wednesday. In fact, she was complaining to her family a couple days prior that she was ready to get engaged, and she didn’t have high hopes for it happening any time soon. Their poker faces could’ve rivaled those in the major leagues. Marshall was living in South Carolina for an internship and Hannah had plans to pick him up from the airport the next day, completely oblivious to the sneaky plan in progress. They say it takes a village to raise a child, but did you know it also can take a village to plan and execute a proposal? With the help of many friends and roommates, Marshall was able to instigate the perfect proposal. It wasn’t Hannah’s new haircut and freshly done nails that made it perfect, though she was thrilled to be so well prepared, but the thoughtfulness that went into every aspect of the event. Marshall set up a beautiful sunset picnic at Lake Bryan, complete with photos from their favorite memories, charcuterie, pizza, and their cat, Peter. Lake Bryan was a significant location to the couple as it was where Marshall asked Hannah to be his girlfriend 2.5 years prior as they watched the sun set. It wasn’t just the proposal of her dreams because it was greater than she could have ever imagined. Ultimately, Hannah was stunned and overjoyed and said without a doubt, “yes!!”
