we’re getting married!

Dalton & Kenzie officially met & began their friendship on May 23, 2018. It was the end of Kenzie’s sophomore year of highschool & the end of Dalton’s junior year. This whole thing started, however, many months before through the plotting and scheming of Kortney, Rylee, and Emily. These besties wanted to be sisters so bad they had to find a way to make it happen! Dalton slid into Kenzie’s dms a couple of months after his sister’s scheming to ask her for her phone # so that he could “get to know her”. She shared her # with him. The two began texting, which turned into hanging out as friends, which turned into hanging out as crushes, which turned into hanging out as boyfriend & girlfriend! & the rest is history… Now these two highschool sweethearts are getting married!

Early on the morning of June 6, 2023 Kenzie woke up extra early on the Halliburton family beach trip thinking she was headed to a Disney breakfast with Kortney, Rylee, and Emily. Little did Kenzie know on their way to pick up Emily from DCP they would actually pull over on the side of the road next to a hot air-balloon; where Dalton was waiting to ask her a very important question. As soon as they pulled over Kenzie was in shock — she was handed a handwritten note from Dalton as she got out of the car carrying their Adventure Book from UP. He asked her to marry him and of course, she said yes! Then the newly engaged couple took off on their new adventure in the hot air-balloon. Kenzie is afraid of heights, but she wasn’t scared with her new fiancé!
