Let the adventures continue

We first met at Belknap Springs, for a mutual friend's surprise engagement. The seed had been planted, we just didn't know it yet. Flash forward almost a year later, we reconnected at a friend's birthday party. Corey was just coming back from adventuring in Yosemite, and Laura from teaching in Thailand. She somehow convinced Corey that she was a hiker (even though she was not at this time), and planned two hikes together the following week. The rest is history.

Laura had decided that they should go for a sunset hike after Corey got off work. It was a late day, so Laura was already in the car with Summit when Corey pulled up and told him to get in. They chased the sun up Mount Baldy, making it just in time to set out a blanket, enjoy a good drink, eat a simple charcuterie plate, and watch the sun go down. After a while it started getting cold, and Laura was ambling around trying to stall going back down to the car. She then became very awkward, and said "do I have to do it?" Corey asked what Laura was talking about, so Laura then got down on one knee, holding a picture frame to her chest. She gave Corey the picture she had made of their time together, and stood up before she realized the most important question. Getting back down on one knee Laura asked Corey "will you marry me?" He of course said yes, and why it had taken me so long. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you at the end of the Rainbow! Check back later!
