Taylor and Matthew’s love story began in the Fall of 2017 as high school sweethearts. In the months before Matthew’s departure to pursue a Construction Management degree at Bowling Green State University, the couple formed their foundation of love and admiration that would endure the test of time and distance. Recognizing the depth of their connection, Taylor and Matthew went forward navigating a year of long distance. Taylor was fortunate to be able to join Matthew at BGSU, where their connection flourished for the next 2 years whether they attended sorority events or construction club gatherings. As Taylor was completing her final year as an undergraduate at BGSU, she decided on the University of Virginia to obtain her Master's degree, while Matthew concluded his academic endeavors at BGSU. Not only did they do long distance for the second time, but this time they lived eight and a half hours apart. Precious weekend visits every 4-6 weeks and many FaceTime calls later, they were able to both graduate with their desired degrees. Their unwavering commitment to each other only brought them closer throughout their time apart. Their professional endeavors led them to Virginia, where they have lived for the past 2 years. Matthew has emerged as a skillful Project Engineer and Taylor has found her calling as a Federal Healthcare Consultant. After six years of shared laughter, challenges, growth, and a mile-and-a-half walk to the bass pond in heels for Taylor, Matthew proposed during the holiday season while they were in Asheville, North Carolina at the Biltmore Estate on December 9, 2023. Matthew would like to add the walk was worth it. Taylor and Matthew stand on the precipice of a new adventure. Their love story, a testament to their resilience, patience, and unwavering devotion, will now blossom into their union of marriage.
