We actually met through mutual friends. Vaneesha's friend was talking to Derrick's college teammate. At the time Vee's friend decided to call Derrick cell phone from Vee phone after they were leaving from a track meet. So Vaneesha and Derrick talked on the phone his whole way home and decided after a few conversations to finally meet up and hang out. Derrick was a dj as well as a club promoter at the time. Derrick invited Vaneesha to come clubbing with him and they met up at tam's burger in lynwood ( for those who know) lol, so derrick gave her two tickets to get inside the club. After that started hanging out more an one thing led to another and now were here!!!

As many as you know when Derrick wants to do something he doesn't wait or try and plan some big extravagant party. Derrick is a spare of the moment right now and get it done now type of guy. I was in the middle of moving into my new place and he was helping me move. We were headed to go buy new TV'S for my new place and of course he asked if we should stop at none other than tams to grab a bite to eat. Because we hadn't eaten anything all day. Me not thinking anything of it, he asked to go inside to get the food instead the drive through. We ordered and headed back to the car as I am eating my food he steps out and calls me outside the car to him on one knee asking him to marry him.
