We're getting married!

Back in Kayla's bartending days, she made friends with some bar regulars that visited often- Matt and Lindsey. At the time, Lindsey was attending the St. Paul Fire Academy to become a Firefighter. She mentioned that she is good friends with Scott, who is also in the academy. After Kayla debated for a few weeks if she wanted to go out with him (and almost cancelled the date), they met in June of 2019. Scott was leaving for a long military deployment a few weeks after their first date, and let Kayla know it was up to her if she wanted to continue to date each other, or go their separate ways. They decided to stick it out and after a few weeks of dating, Scott was shipped to the Middle East for six months. They stayed in constant communication throughout the deployment after a short period of knowing each other. Kayla picked up Scott from the airport when he returned in February of 2020, and the rest is history!
