Best Man
Jordan and I met in high school. Specifically in Drivers Ed. I sat one table back in class and noticed he brought it all the good snacks. He seemed like a guy I should get to know. Turns out, I was right. We had a lot of similar interests, style, sports, values, and sense of humor. Through high school we got into plenty of trouble flying under the radar of most teachers, parents and law enforcement. Although, I do think our parents knew more than they led on. As we moved through college and into being adults, Jordan has been there for all major life events. Always supporting and willing to help with anything that needs to be navigated. He is a friend that loves celebrating your success as much as his own. I look up to Jordan for many reason and am truly grateful he is able to join in our wedding day.
Maid of Honor
My partner in crime for the last 32 years, I couldn't think of a better person to have stand next to me on this special occasion. From matching dresses when we were little to traveling the world together as adults, our relationship has evolved over the years. As a young kid I was able to translate what Amanda needed to my mom, so very young we had a sisterly bond. Now, even though she's my younger sister, I've looked up to her in my adult life. She's smart, she's a savy traveler (even though she's directionally challenged) she's adventurous, and she has the most infectious laugh you'll ever hear. Amanda cares fiercely for the people in her circle, I'm lucky to have her as my person.
Officiants
I’ve become close with my cousin Joe (Pogie) and his wife Judy over the last 8 years. Everything from cabin weekends to boat rides to back yard bonfires- they are a welcoming bunch. As soon as Justin and I became more serious, I knew Pogie and Judy would be the perfect introduction into the Wicker family. We met for brunch one Saturday morning and the rest is history. Pogie and Judy welcomed Justin with open arms, we had many laughs over the last 2 years. We’ve been able to enjoy dinners together to try out new restaurants, had so much fun at pogie and Judy’s pool. Justin and I look up to Joe and Judy as a couple, as a team, as individuals, as family, as friends and couldn’t be more honored to have them part of our special day. -Written by Christine
