It started on an app. A dating app. A queer dating app. A terrible queer dating app. Somehow among mostly fake accounts, they managed to find each other. Hope swiped right because of the snapchat picture on Katherine's profile in which she was demanding a head of lettuce be in her hand by 7pm. Katherine swiped right because she liked Hope's dog. In the spirit of transparency, Katherine's first message was in line with her attractions. "I like your dog." Messages turned into texts turned into dates turned into love turned into pet adoption. A tale as old as time. After nearly 3 years, they are excited to take the next step in their life together.

Hope and Katherine had a small ceremony on September 16, 2023 in the mountains of North Carolina. They were honored to have Hannah, Hope's sister, perform the ceremony. This party is to celebrate their marriage and to send them off to their new home in Virginia!
