This past year of dealing with covid has been hell for everyone, and while we are still going through with our wedding on October 16th as planned, we are still trying to be as cautious as possible. if you are not vaccinated, we ask that you get a covid test in the week leading up to the wedding. If you do happen to get a positive result, please do not come. Our feelings will not be hurt, and we will be filming the day to share with people who could not attend.

As some sort of joke, Kyle and his friends were setting their profile pictures to pictures of each other. I happened to know Darius vaugely through my friend Angela. I was talking to Angela about the guy in Darius' profile picture, and how cute he was, but I didn't want to say anything because I didn't know Darius that well, so she talked to him for me. Somehow, they convinced Kyle to send me a friend request, and we started talking. We got super close super fast. I honestly didn't think anything would come from it (I had given up on love at the ripe old age of 17). He quickly asked me to be his girlfriend, and I was estatic!
Since Kyle was at school in Martin, us seeing each other was all through skype. The day that he came home for Thanksgiving break (which was nearly a month after him asking me to be his girlfriend) was the first time we had met in person. My mom was so worried that he wasn't a real person! We hung out for a while, and had my mom come get us to go to Taco Bell so she could meet him. The rest is history!
We were in the kitchen talking about whether or not we wanted to stop by Taco Bell before his family Christmas party (Taco Bell is a recurring trend in our relationship apperantly haha). He wouldn't give me a straight answer and I told him to make up his mind. He asked me if I was mad him. I jokingly said "yeah totally". He said "what about now?" When I turned around to see what he meant, he was on one knee! I honestly thought he was kidding because I didn't think he was going to ask me until after he graduated!
While it has always been my dream to get married on Halloween, the date is also significant for our relationship. As you can see above, Halloween was the day Kyle and I met in 2013. If you would have told us that sending/accepting a friend request on Facebook would lead to where we are now, we probably would have laughed in your face, but here we are!
