Valentine's Day 2020 my roommate (shoutout Ka) dragged me out of the apartment and Owen was venturing out with some friends...still unclear whether they knew 2/14 was SUCH an important date. As happenstance would have it, we found ourselves in the same Virginia Highlands watering hole, Dark Horse. Owen approached first (though I definitely noticed him walk in) and somehow his intro question of "why are you drinking a Truly with a straw" led to endless conversation, Jenga battles, a handful of well planned (by Owen) dates in the 2 weeks prior to the world shutting down and an eventual proposal nearly 3.5 years later. We are delighted to begin our marriage together and have all of you there to celebrate with us! Let's get this party started.
