Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Holly Charlevoix and Matthew Williams

Sol Blu Lounge & TapRoom

212 East Ludington Street, Iron Mountain, MI 49801

Best selection of beer. No food. Walking distance to Townplace Suites.

Wild Horse Saloon

714 River Avenue, Iron Mountain, MI 49801

Best bloody Mary’s in town! Pizza is great too. Walkable from Towneplace suites

Fumee Lake Natural Area

Quinnesec, MI 49876

Beautiful Fumee Lake is an untouched Lake and natural area that boasts several walking trails. Fishing is not allowed!

Piers Gorge Hiking Trail

Piers Gorge Road, MI 49870

One of my personal favorite trails to hike along the Menominee river, dividing Wisconsin from Michigan.

Anytime Fitness

1078 South Stephenson Avenue, Iron Mountain, MI 49801

If anyone needs to get their workout in while traveling this is our gym and we can get you guest access passes if you want. Just let us know.

Pine Mountain Ski & Golf Resort

N3332 Pine Mountain Road, Iron Mountain, MI 49801

Pine Mountain has a lot to offer, from golf to the Veterans Memorial park, to one of the world’s largest ski jumps, and Famer’s restaurant. Oh and don’t forget the steps to the ski jump. Many people walk them just for the exercise.

Oak Crest Golf Course

1475 U.S. 8, Norway, MI 49870

Oak Crest is a golf course in Norway. They do have food and tend to be a bit cheaper than Pine Mountain.

True North Outpost

W5768 Old Piers Gorge Road, Norway, MI 49870

Located right across from Piers Gorge hiking trail access this place offers kayaking, tubing, and white water rafting down the Menominee river. Perfect for a memorable adventure! Call ahead to schedule some fun!

World War II Glider and Military Museum

302 Kent Street, Iron Mountain, MI 49801

Great place to see planes and WWII memorabilia. Perhaps call ahead for hours.

Millie Hill Bat Viewing

Iron Mountain, MI 49801

Growing up here my whole childhood I personally have never been to the Millie Hill bat caves, but it’s on my summer bucket list this year. I heard it’s pretty cool if you like bats. I’ll have more details after I visit!

Lake Antoine Park

South Lake Antoine Road, Iron Mountain, MI 49801

If you got kiddos or are coming to camp there is everything at Lake Antoine park. There is camping, a lake with public beach access for the kids, and boat access to the water. Also, dog swimming areas! We live close by this park and it’s always popping in the summertime.

Moose Jackson Cafe

221 East A Street, Iron Mountain, MI 49801

Great place for a coffee or a sandwich or soup. Nice seating area inside. Scones and cookies too! Walkable from the Townplace Suites. Same as Sol Blu and the Terrace rooftop bar.

Iron Mountain Iron Mine

W4852 U.S. 2, Vulcan, MI 49892

This is a must see attraction here. Norway and Iron Mountain were originally mining towns that boomed in the early 1900’s. You’ll notice this by the homes in the area. Many are old mining homes. This place has a huge gift shop and they take you on tours of the old iron mine. Taking the trolly to the bottom of a mine shaft and into the cold and darkness is something everyone should experience.

Sandstone Terrace Rooftop Bar Live Music Venue

220 Iron Mountain Street, Iron Mountain, MI 49801

Great place on the weekends for live music and drinks. Owned by a friend of mine, it’s a great place to get together and have a little fun. No food. Walking distance from the Towneplace Suites.
