After originally connecting through an app, we met in person during a polar vortex at an Indian restaurant in Minneapolis. Jane liked that Felipe had photos with lots of dogs, and colorful murals. We soon found out that we work in the same building at the University of Minnesota, on different floors. We connect on our love of food, arts, education, culture, and most especially - people! We enjoy visiting local museums and community festivals, listening to Wait Wait Don't Tell Me on NPR, trying new restaurants and old favorites, dreaming about owning 3 dogs, traveling around the U.S. and Mexico, and cooking new recipes at home with ingredients from local farmers markets or The Wedge. All of the above have been all the more special when we can share the experience with friends and family. We were legally married on June 4th, 2021 with our close friends and family. Yet, we both feel that celebrating our union in a brief ceremony and party with family and friends, and honoring your presence in our lives, will culminate this milestone for us. Después de contactarse originalmente a través de una app (amor moderno), Jane y Felipe se conocieron en persona durante un vórtice polar (-40°C) en un restaurante de comida india en Minneapolis. A Jane le gustó que Felipe tuviera fotos con muchos perros y con murales coloridos. Pronto descubrieron que trabajaban en el mismo edificio de la Universidad de Minnesota, solo que en diferentes pisos. A Jane y Felipe los conecta su amor por la comida, las artes, la educación, la cultura y, especialmente, ¡su amor hacia sus amigos y familiares! Ambos disfrutan visitar museos locales y festivales en la comunidad, probar nuevos restaurantes e ir a los viejos favoritos, viajar por los EE. UU. y México y cocinar nuevas recetas en casa con ingredientes de los farmers markets o The Wedge (su cooperativa local). Todo lo anterior ha sido aún más especial cuando han compartido la experiencia con sus amigos y familiares. Jane y Felipe se casaron legalmente el 4 de junio de 2021 con un grupo muy limitado de amigos y familiares. Ambos sienten que celebrar con una breve ceremonia y fiesta junto a sus familiares y amigos, y honrar su presencia en sus vidas, culminará este importante momento para ellos.
