FAQs

The Wedding Website of Michael Nicoloff and Ali Hoffman
If you have any questions that aren't mentioned here, please call/text Michael @ (619)361-2695 or Ali @ (845)544-5512.
Question

Do I need a passport to cross the border into Mexico?

Answer

Yes, you will need a passport to cross into Mexico and come back.

Question

Is Mexico safe?

Answer

Ali and Michael visit Mexico often. Both Ensenada and Valle de Guadalupe are accustomed to having visitors from all over the world. Ensenada is a port town that welcomes cruise ships often, and Valle de Guadalupe is Mexico's premier wine tasting region.

Question

Do I have to stay at Torre Lucerna or have take any of the shuttles?

Answer

No. You are more than welcome to plan your own accommodation and transportation. We wanted to make it as easy as possible for all guests, but if you have other plans or want to stay in the valley and go directly to the wedding, you may.

Question

What day should I fly in and out?

Answer

Ideally, you would fly in on Thursday, May 18th. You would need accommodations in San Diego that night. You may fly in Friday, May 19th, but please let us know what time your plane arrives. Flying out Sunday, May 21st, may be risky. If you choose Sunday, I would highly advise a flight that was later in the day as the shuttle to the border will take about two hours and then there may be up to an hour wait to cross the International Border.

Question

Should I just make an vacation out of this!

Answer

Absolutely. Ensenada, and especially Valle de Guadalupe, are incredible places, and if you have never been, you could spend days exploring the area. The wine is good and the food is even better. If there is enough people that want to stay on Sunday, we'll work something out. Just let Mike know!

Question

May I bring a plus one?

Answer

We appreciate your support and appreciation of our union. We are only able to accommodate guests named on the invitations. Thank you for celebrating with us.

Question

Is it really adults only?

Answer

Yes, this is an adults only affair. We would love all of our guests to let their hair down and enjoy themselves for the weekend. However, we understand that this may not be possible for everyone. Please text us if you need to bring your child(ren) and we'll do our best to adjust our guest list.

Question

Is the venue outdoors?

Answer

Yes, Parque La Joya is outdoors. Although we project the weather to be perfect, it may get cool at night so we recommend you bring a jacket or shawl.

Question

Any COVID-19 policies?

Answer

As of right now, there are no COVID-19 policies or restrictions in place. If anything changes, we'll let you know.

Question

Does your wedding have a #hashtag?!

Answer

Yes. We would love to see all the pictures and videos you post from our wedding! Please use the hashtag, #turtlechosebest. (Ali's choice, not Mike's) lolol
