We're Getting Married!

The proposal took place on the evening of September 2, 2018, we were celebrating our 3 year anniversary a day early due to Labor Day being the next day and we both knew we would be busy with family events. Jack wanted to take me out to eat to one of my favorite restaurants in Columbus, Harveys. While getting ready, I could tell Jack was anxious about something because he kept asking me how much longer I was going to be until I was ready and he usually doesn't do that. I finally told him I was going to be about 5 minutes more and I heard him say "Okay, well I am going out to the car I'll just meet you out there". We got in the car and took the drive to Columbus, sort of arguing on the way over about what to move first into the new house that we were about to close on the following week! When getting off the Hwy and heading toward Harvey's, Jack asked me to direct him towards the river walk, saying he would like to go and walk around for a few minutes before going to eat. By this time I was a little suspicious because Jack never wanted to do this before but kinda brushed it off thinking if this was it, I would be able to see the ring box in his pocket and I could not. We got out of the car and walked down the river walk, enjoying the sunset. Just as the sun was going down over the trees, we stopped to look out over the water. That's when it happened! Jack looked at me and smiled, gave me a kiss and bent down on one knee saying "I wanted to know if you will marry me". Of course I screamed "YES!", frightening another couple out enjoying the sunset. He stood up and scooped me up in a hug and I started to tear up a little bit. We stayed out there a little longer until the sun was longer visable over the trees in the distance. At dinner, I could hardly stop smiling and looking at the beautiful ring on my finger. I felt like I was in a dream! We cannot wait to celebrate our love with all of you!
