We're getting married!

It's not your typical story. Hunter and I met working at Bi-Lo. We make jokes all the time about those days with our crew. He tells the story best - especially how he got my number - but I guess I will try to do it justice. Hunter grew up only 15 minutes from me and went to Woodmont High School. In 2016, Hunter's best friend, Shaun, worked at Bi-Lo in Pelzer and ended up encouraging Hunter to work there that summer too. I grew up in Belton and went to Palmetto High School. My best friend, Kacy, also worked at Bi-Lo with Shaun and Hunter, and somehow convinced me that I should come work with her. I went to get an application one day and little did I know, Hunter saw me that day and supposedly made a few comments about how cute I was to Shaun. I started at Bi-Lo not too long after and like the oblivious person I am, thought Shaun and Hunter were the same person for like two weeks. Until one day, THERE WERE TWO! Lol. For those of you who know both of them, it's valid because they used to look a LOT alike. For a while we were friends, occasionally flirting here and there. Apparently one day Hunter decided he wanted my number. So, in order to get it, he was going to take off work and ask me to work for him JUST so he could get my number. Sneaky Hunter went through the Bi-Lo Directory, got my number, and called me. Apparently, I took his shift but I don't remember any of this! Anyway, I really developed a crush on him around December 2013. We snapchatted and texted for a couple months until our first "date" at my sister's softball tournament. A few months later, on July 4th, Hunter asked me to officially be his girlfriend under the fireworks in downtown Greenville. 4+ years later, we are getting married. I can't believe a little friendship that started 5 years ago (thanks to Shaun and Kacy) has turned into a lifetime of forever love! I love our story!

Hunter is AMAZING at surprises and absolutely hit this one out of the park. Hunter contacted one of our photographer friends, Jessi, with the idea for her to post a giveaway for a session and choose me to win. I, of course, had no clue. So, when Jessi posted her giveaway, I entered as I always do! When she picked the winner, I surprisingly won and was SO excited. I asked her where we should take them and she mentioned a new location on a lake that she wanted to shoot at. So, I asked Hunter and he said that was a good idea (obviously because, without my knowledge, it was his idea). So, photo shoot day comes, we go to church as usual, head home to get ready, and then head to the session! Hunter says that he was trying not to act nervous on our HOUR ride to Chesnee with the ring down in the floor hidden between his foot and the door. When we got there, we met his friend Bobby (we were doing the session at his neighbors house on the lake), and Jessi! We headed down to the dock and started posing for pictures. A few minutes into it, Jessi "had an idea for a pose!" She asked if I knew those pictures where the girl is turned around (aka she turned me around) and the guy holds the girls hand from behind. I said yes and reached out both my hands for Hunter to grab one. After a few seconds of him not grabbing my hand, I turned around to see him DOWN ON HIS KNEE WITH THE RING! I immediately freaked out and was shocked (see the photos lol) and started bawling. I literally could not hold it together. He said some very sweet, sweet words explaining how long we had been together and how he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. Then asked, "Will you marry me?" Through my tears of absolute joy, I said YES! I had butterflies like no other and I am so, so happy that we get to spend the rest of our lives loving each other. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you at the wedding!
