It all started with a simple online dating site called Bumble, which was how we were able to even meet despite living 2 hours apart! We hit it off after chatting online and John set up our 'last first date' at Cooper Hawk. We met and John was ready to get down on one knee but thought maybe he should get Annette an appetizer or a drink first haha! From that point forward, we traveled back and forth from Wisconsin and Illinois every weekend, never missing a chance to spend every moment we could together. There were a lot of visits to movie theaters (we both love movies), cafes (Annette loves coffee and John loves pastries), church, BBQ joints, camping (we REALLY love camping!), ice cream spots, festivals, and more. We are both so blessed to have found each other and are overjoyed to start building a life together...in the same state!....in the same house! We can’t wait for the day where we officially become Mr. and Mrs. Hocking and best of all, to enjoy it with all our loved ones.
