Wow, who could have foreseen this?? COVID-19 was not invited to our wedding but decided to crash anyway. They're the person who shows up to a party 6 weeks early and refuses to leave. Of course, we postponed our wedding until next year, which is great because we really haven't been engaged long enough. In all seriousness, the most important thing for us is for our loved ones to stay safe and healthy! We couldn't imagine properly celebrating our wedding with a pandemic looming over our heads. We hope that each and every one of you can join us on April 10, 2021! We're all taking the scenic route down the Highway to the Danger Frohn.
Alison and Drew met at a collegiate climbing competition in 2014 while living in Philadelphia, despite neither of them being students. Their first date was at a climbing gym two weeks later, and they've been "pulling plastic" ever since! He knew he was in love when he watched her brush her cat's teeth for the first time (weird). she knew it was love when he first showed her his box of family photos. Six months later, they moved into their first apartment together. In 2018, they escaped gritty Philly for the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Drew moved to Seattle in April while Alison stayed behind to job-hunt for a few months. Drew took Alison on a short backpacking trip to Olympic National Park during one of her visits to the west coast. Drew, ever-vigilant of his backpacking base weight, had to carry several extra ounces -- an engagement ring and champagne -- so that he could propose to Alison on July 27th, 2018. After a year in Seattle, Alison's new job moved them to Portland, where they continue to live their lives a quarter-mile at a time. Now that they've lived in three states, moved in and out of eight apartments, and survived a near-death experience on Mount Rainier together, they're finally ready to become legally bound to one another. They can't wait for you to celebrate with them as they start their fresh new journey together as husband and wife.
