Despite 2 years of passing one another on campus - & perhaps exchanging the occasional pleasantries - neither of us remembers the first time we truly met. Perhaps it had been some nonchalant introduction by a mutual friend, or perhaps we both just simply forgot! Either way, the first time that we actually interacted was during the summer of 2014. At a party thrown by one of Greg's friends, he & I started talking and ended up spending hours just sitting on a couch with one another chatting the night away. Nothing even came of it! I left the party, thinking about the nice conversation we had enjoyed-not much else. Greg would later tell me that this was the moment when his eyes became set on me. Throughout the rest of summer & into the new school year, we continued to be jovial, texting here & there and talking at length whenever possible. As members of the same community service organization, we found that these opportunities presented themselves quite regularly. As the VP of Fellowship, Greg was tasked with bringing members together for morale-building events. One such event that he had planned was a haunted hay ride & haunted house out in Virginia farmlands - an event for which Greg made certain that I would be in attendance. When I found out he was going, I made certain I was in attendance too! On that chilly October night, I sat close to Greg on the hay ride & used every opportunity to cuddle up. He wasn't all too against that idea, by the way. After the hay ride was the haunted house - another opportunity to cuddle up close! It was the perfect setting for sparking up a romance. That night after the hay ride & haunted house, Greg & I stayed up 'til 7am talking, getting to know one another & laughing until our sides hurt. We hit it off right away & we've been talking & laughing til our sides hurt ever since.
