We met at our mutual friend Shelby's (also our officiant) camp on North Pond in Smithfield, Maine. There was some chemistry, so a few weeks later Leia asked Shelby, "What's the deal with that Reilly guy?" Excited with the prospect of matchmaking two of her closest friends, Shelby was happy to make the connection. In very middle school fashion, Shelby said to Reilly, "I know someone who likes you..." to which he responded, "If it's Leia, I'm going to freak out." Three years later (four on our wedding day!), two apartments, a house, and the dog and cat in tow, we've made an incredible life together. Now we're ready to make it official!

We were in Burlington, VT for a weekend getaway. After dinner, we walked down to the shore of Lake Champlain, and sitting on a bench Reilly said "I have a gift for you but I don't know how to give it to you..." We stood, Reilly asked, and immediately after Leia said yes, thunder clapped. Several minutes later as we were sitting in newly engaged bliss, the skies opened and we were (quite romantically) caught in the rain. The rest is very happy history, and we can't wait to celebrate this next chapter with you all!
