Hey, nice bike. Some couples have this cute, romantic story of how they met, but not us. We have three little words typed from a Samsung phone...."Hey, nice bike." Being a biker it's hard to find someone who not only understands your love of riding but who also gets you on an intimate level. Being a lady biker makes this task even more difficult. Kim was a brand new rider who honestly just wanted somebody who understood her intense love for riding and quirky sarcastic personality. Mike was the seasoned pro who was always up for meeting new people to ride with. Both decided they'd give the online dating scene a whirl, neither realizing just how amazing that journey would be. Whether it was fate, the universe, the stars aligning, or just some really good luck these two strangers were matched by the powers that be at Tinder and almost instantly became inseparable. One short little message from Mike that simply said, "Hey, nice bike" started an entire weekend of chatting back and forth, followed soon after by their first face-to-face meeting, and within a week they were hitting the open road together. The amount of laughs, smiles, and fun had during those rides is immeasurable. The way these two souls just clicked is the stuff fairy tales are made of. Whether it be a serious conversation, a jab at the other's choice of motorcycle, or a witty comeback to some of our infamous sarcasm everything just seemed to fall into perfect place. The road wasn't always smooth, in fact, anybody that knows us from back in the day probably wonders how in the crap we didn't kill each other, but if there were ever a time when being incredibly stubborn and hardheaded were a good thing this would be it. The amount of blood, sweat, and tears we both poured into this relationship that first year has created a bond so strong, so intense, and so devoted that nothing and noone can ever break. As we prepare to embark on our new journey as husband and wife we thank each and every one of you for sharing this journey with us and may you always keep it shiny side up.
We will be having a biker-inspired wedding so please don't feel like you have to put on your Sunday finest. Blue jeans, t-shirts, and comfy shoes are encouraged. Even the bride will be sporting blue jeans under her skirt!
