We met in high school. We started talking in senior year. As senior year ended we drifted apart, partly due to Alyssa going off to college. About 5 years passed when we reconnected like we never missed a day.

After struggling for months to think of a meaningful way to propose finally a opportunity arose, it was the first day of the season for our local ice cream shop and our first ice cream date of the year which has become a almost weekly tradition for us. After completing our order I had snuck the ring into her twist ice cream in a waffle cone which was covered in so many sprinkles that she didn’t even notice the ring as we took our usual pictures. She finally noticed it as she started eating it and I’m sure she said yes before she even finished eating that bite. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
