Najee started attending a new church invited by her sister and her husband, Najae and Donald Stevenson. Najee enjoyed the message and thought the people were very kind. As she entered the church, the choir started singing and this voice caught her attention. That voice was Oatha Henderson, a long time member of the church. She said to herself, "Wow!, after church I am going to compliment his singing". Well he came and sat right behind her so that was not hard at all! As they greeted one another, Oatha told his sister, "She don't know I'm single, she better stop looking at me in my eyes. She is about to find out." He thought, wow, she is gorgeous without makeup on. A few weeks went by and he was serving in the kitchen. She liked how he served his church family. He liked how she cooked for the church. She went into the kitchen to ask if any mac & cheese was left and with a big smile Oatha said "Oh, that's gone!" They laughed and Najee couldn't stop thinking about his smile for the rest of the service. After service, she told Oatha he had a nice smile and he asked if he could have my number. From then on, they have been inseparable!

Their engagement was magical!! Oatha had been planning the engagement since April. He made sure Najee had no plans the weekend of August 14th. He told her to get dressed and Najee was sure this was the big day. As she pulled out dresses, he said, "No put on work out clothes". She was shocked. No way is he proposing today. "No worries," she thought, "anything we do will be awesome". They drove for a while outside of Atlanta til they stopped at what looked like an airport strip. As they looked into the sky, parachutes filled the sky. They were skydiving!!! It was the most exhilarating experience ever. They had a rough landing that caused Oatha to injure his leg and both of them to miss their landing by about 4 miles. When they got back to the skydiving lodge Najee went to clean up. As she walked out to the back, Oatha was waiting on a knee with the most gorgeous engagement ring Najee had ever seen. She didn't even notice that her entire family and friends were all there. With the biggest smile on her face she said YES! They all celebrated with dinner as her sisters had all her favorite dresses picked out for her big day!!
