1. El Matador - The perfect beach in Malibu. Instagrammers will go wild. 2. Venice Beach - "Muscle Beach" where Arnold the Terminator lifted. 3. Santa Monica Beach - Famous pier with ferris wheel. Note: Tbh Venice and Santa Monica are kinda ghetto just go to #1
Ten spots in no particular order: 1. In-N-Out - A California staple. 2. Brother's Cousins - Cash only taco and burrito stand. The best in LA. Get the Al Pastor and add pineapple! 3. Sugarfish - SUPER fresh melt in your mouth sushi, and not too expensive. 4. Rocco's Cheesecake - Try the Classic cheesecake it's built different. 5. Pasta Sisters - I wasn't a pasta fan but I became one. Try the Arrabbiata in Tagliatelle with Burrata cheese (try saying that 3 times fast). 6. Primo's Donuts - Get the buttermilk original glazed. Wowee. 7. Salt & Straw - Really good ice cream. Our fave is the Cold Brew Coffee Cashew Praline! 8. Porto's Bakery and Cafe - Ridiculously good Cuban bakery. The stuffed Potato Balls are a must. 9. Papa’s Chicken - Probably the best Korean Fried Chicken in LA. 10. The Doughroom - Yummy pizza (try the Hot Honey one) and beer.
Some iconic spots and low key ones. 1. Griffith Observatory - Beautiful view of the skyline and Hollywood sign. Park on Fern Dell Drive and hike the 1.3 mile West Observatory Trail for the ultimate experience. 2. Westfield Century City - Not your average mall. It’s all outdoor and actually really fun to walk through for a date/family day! 3. The Getty - Beautiful art museum complex in the hills of LA. Even if you don’t have an eye for art (like us), you’ll love the massive botanical gardens. Prep a picnic lunch! 4. Funko Pop Hollywood - Build a custom Funko; just get there early to get the best options for clothes, hair, and accessories (they sell out quick). 5. Universal Studios Hollywood - SUPER MARIO WORLD JUST OPENED!!! 6. Escondido Falls - Beautiful light waterfall hike in Malibu, especially after it rains. Bring Crocs or other water shoes!
