So the story starts over Memorial Day Weekend in 2015 when Metts was in St. Simons Island, GA on vacation with our mutual friend, Tom Arnold. Heidi, being the millennial she is, was browsing Instagram when she came across a very handsome man on Tom's page. Hoping to spark some curiosity, Heidi ended up "liking" several of the recently posted pictures on Tom's page including Metts. She then asked to "follow" Metts's profile and liked a couple of his recent photos. Her planned worked, when Metts reached out via Facebook (I know, so much social media!!) to say, "So I'm gonna need to have dinner one night... With you". Incidentally, Tom was already working his plan when he called Heidi, who happened to be working night shift at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital asking, "Why do you keep liking all of those pictures with Metts in them?" In her not-so-shy manner, Heidi responded, "Because he's hot, duh!" Apparently, Metts was listening on speaker phone. Fast forward to when Metts got home from the beach and Heidi finished working three night shifts in a row, they met up for the first time. They had the best night - endless conversation and lots of laughs. After Metts gave Heidi a kiss on the forehead goodnight, sparking MANY butterflies in her stomach, Heidi knew he was the one. Unfortunately for her, it took some convincing for Metts to feel the same way. After six LONGGGG months of hanging out, Metts finally asked Heidi to be his girlfriend. Heidi has been driving Metts crazy ever since then!

Metts proposed on June 28, 2019, the first time they walked inside after closing on their new home together. Heidi's parents were sitting in the backyard waiting to meet the newly engaged couple at their new house. After, they celebrated with champagne and dinner at Little Alley Steak Buckhead.
