Things To Do

The tour guides will tell you about the National Aquarium, the Maryland Science Center, Fort McHenry and Camden Yards. We highly recommend ALL of those places, but here are some more of our favorite (maybe lesser known) things to do!

The Avenue

West 36th Street, Baltimore, MD 21211

Explore Joe and Heidi's neighborhood! Home to numerous restaurants antique stores, and boutiques, The Avenue is a great place for strolling. Some highlights: The Charmery (best ice cream in the city), The Food Market (recently named one of the top 50 brunch spots in the US!) Bluebird Cocktail Room (the name says it all- the cocktails are delicious)

Fells Point

Baltimore, MD

Waterfront views, local boutiques, and a Baltimore snowball...what more could you ask for? Oh, how about America's oldest operating bar? Have a drink at The Horse You Came In On Saloon (also the last stop of Edgar Allan Poe before his demise). Grab a record at Sound Garden, decorate your home at Su Casa, or grab some seafood at Thames Street Oyster House or Bertha's Mussels. No trip to Baltimore would be complete without a trip to Fells.

The Walters Art Museum

600 North Charles Street, Baltimore, MD 21201
, (410) 547-9000

A great place to spend an afternoon! (And bonus: it's free!) Joe and Heidi have spent countless date nights and even field trips at this Baltimore institution.

Baltimore Museum of Art

10 Art Museum Drive, Baltimore, MD 21218
, (443) 573-1700

Picasso, Degas, Rodin...this beautiful museum holds countless treasures, the largest Matisse collection anywhere in the world, and beautiful local art. Grab a bite at Gertrude's or stroll across the street to the Wyman Park Dell. Fun fact: the Dell was recently landscaped by a bunch of hungry goats.

Guinness Open Gate Brewery

5001 Washington Boulevard, Halethorpe, MD 21227
, (443) 575-6893

The only place in the world where Guinness is brewed- other than Dublin, of course! Check out this great spot for a brew. Bonus: it is close to the airport for those flying to the festivities!

Baltimore Beer Scene

Baltimore, MD

Baltimore doesn't just have Guinness! Check out some of our favorite local brews! Nepenthe Brewing Company 3626 Falls Rd, Baltimore, MD 21211 Waverly Brewing Company 1625 Union Ave, Baltimore, MD 21211 Peabody Heights Brewing Company 401 E 30th St, Baltimore, MD 21218 Monument City Brewing Company 401 E 30th St, Baltimore, MD 21218 Checkerspot Brewing Company 1399 S Sharp St, Baltimore, MD 21230 Wet City 223 W Chase St, Baltimore, MD 21201 Ministry of Brewing 1900 E Lombard St, Baltimore, MD 21231

Graffiti Alley, Baltimore, MD 21218

Local art at its finest! Walk through this constantly changing tribute to Baltimore and be amazed!
