The Sharpekamp Wedding

It was a cold and dark winter in Wyoming. Bloodthirsty antelope ravaged the high plains and Ezekiel drove across I-80 in a blizzard. When he arrived at the medical student housing in Casper, you can imagine his surprise at seeing the most beautiful girl in the room (and they were roommates) So beautiful, he thought that she could be a part-time model. Ezekiel woo'd Heidi with his incredible cooking and sick dance moves, and Heidi taught him how to get totally lost while mountain biking at night on Casper Mountain. After a month of living together in Casper, they parted ways, never to cross paths again. SIKE. After Casper they reunited in Spokane, Washington, where again they were roommates while doing medical school rotations. It was during this time that they learned they had both matched at the same family medicine residency in Grand Junction, Colorado.

One of Heidi and Ezekiel's first dates was a bike ride to Fish Creek Falls near Steamboat Springs, Colorado. On a return trip to Steamboat in August of 2023, Ezekiel suggested they go back to Fish Creek to recreate some of the pictures they had taken. Little did Heidi know that she was about to make him the happiest man in the world. With the video camera rolling, Ezekiel did something Heidi never expected - he shaved his mustache. You see, Heidi had (jokingly?) told him that if he proposed with a mustache, she'd say no. Not one to take chances (not when love is on the line!), he came prepared. After quickly washing his now-baby-smooth face in the very sanitary nearby river water, he got down on one knee. Anyways, you know what happens next...
