We met at a Black and White Themed New Year's Party when we were introduced by a mutual friend and had a very awkward conversation about Elle's newest tattoo, and Bear's love of Enigma. We flirted a bit, but one of us is a shy-boi and can't always tell when someone is interested in her. We remained friends, conversing at parties and events. It wasn't until five years later, that we connected romantically. And even then, only after Elle practically hit Bear in the head with a 2x4, saying, "Yes, I would like to date you."

After eight years of being together, we did not have a typical proposal. Bear wanted to surprise me with a ring for our 8 year anniversary, but I guess I can be picky. So instead of a traditional proposal, we picked out our wedding set together. On March 29, my ring came in, and Bear laughingly placed the ring on my finger saying, "There!
