We've been jokingly saying that our marriage has begun, but that our wedding is in February. Not letting the world get in the way of love, we said our "I do's" in an intimate ceremony with our parents, officiated by Jessie's sister Sarah. It was a beautiful and special way of honoring our original wedding date. But what is a wedding, if not the joining of two families? We still wanted the opportunity to celebrate with our loved ones and that is exactly what we are going to do! Now that it is safe to gather we are so excited to celebrate our first anniversary with you, as we recommit our vows and dance the night away!
Due to the global health crisis, we have made the difficult decision to postpone our celebration. We have decided to begin our married life in an intimate ceremony as originally planned in February, 2021. At this time, we are unsure of streaming capabilities. We are still so very excited to have you be apart of our love and lives, and hope you'll join us to celebrate our first year of marriage, as we recommit our vows and dance the night away in 2022.
Once upon a time, in a very modern world, two youngsters took to their phones to find love. With a first date at The Merchant in Boston, they quickly learned of a shared love of dogs with smushed faces, the Patriots, and good beer (though the stout vs. ipa debate still rages on). I love you's were said after the first Fancy Christmas Date at Oak & Rowan. They moved into 'The Condo' in 2018 and adopted Rocket, the greatest rescue dog ever, in December of that year. Fast forward to the chilly morning of Christmas Eve, 2019. Taking Rocket for a walk, they stopped at P.S. Gourmet in South Boston. Apparently, everyone else in the neighborhood had the same idea. Andy stood in line while Jessie waited outside with the pup. The sun may have been shining, but the wind was whipping down Broadway. Frozen to the bone, they waited. Andy returned with the coffee and was adamant that they keep their word and go on the morning walk. Grumpy and cold, Jessie agreed and they took the walk as planned up the hill to Dorchester Heights and the view of the skyline. After meandering along, allowing Rocket a second to run, Andy directed them over to a secluded section of the park and got down on one knee. Suffice to say, any grumpiness faded away instantaneously and it was nothing but smiles and kisses from then on out. The rest is history and we're so excited to start this next chapter of our lives together!
