We're officially married! Our wedding day, while much different than we originally imagined, was absolutely beautiful and perfect in every way. That said, we had always planned on having a small reception in London for those who couldn’t make the journey to California, and with the pandemic wreaking havoc on everyone's lives with lockdowns and travel bans, are now looking to the future and celebrating with *everyone* in Rick's hometown!

We both ventured Down Under for a three week holiday - Rick to visit his brother in Sydney and travel with two of his best friends; Heather, her cousin and two girlfriends to see the NYE Sydney fireworks and explore a few cities! We both flew to Cairns the same day, checked into our respective lodging, grabbed dinner in town and headed out to the bars. Little did we know the decision to hit Paddy's Irish Pub would change our lives forever. We met and it was an instant connection. We were inseparable the rest of the night, met up with our groups for a beach and pool day the next day, and had our first real date. The rest is history...

We left Australia committed to each other, making the distance work, and immediately started planning how we would see each other next. After dancing with a few ideas, Heather booked a flight to Manchester to visit Rick and explore Europe for the first time! The visit was filled with lots of exploring and sightseeing, meeting Rick's family and friends in London and Manchester, and a romantic getaway to Paris for Valentine's Day! Paris, however, wouldn't be complete for Heather without visiting Disneyland Paris. We had a blast exploring the gorgeous Disneyland Paris Hotel, having a five star dinner at the California Grill, and a busy day at both parks. It was the end of the day, we were freezing but determined to finish the night high with the fireworks show. And so on Valentine's Day, in front of the castle and right before the fireworks began, Rick told Heather to stay put so we could get a picture. Instead, he dropped to one knee and asked Heather the big question! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Londontown!
