Long story short, we met through the UD Rowing/Crew teams. But if you want the long story, we originally met because of a birthday party for a women's team member. It was Head of the Charles weekend, and the majority of the men's team was up in Boston, so Ben was dragged along by a friend to a women's team party. I saw Ben, but didn't talk to him (I lacked liquid courage). The party fell into two groups, those over 21 headed to the bars and those under went to a men's party on Cleveland. Oddly, Ben didn't head to the bars (although he could have) and joined the under 21's, which is the group I fell in. It's hard to be sober at a men's crew party, so I stayed upstairs with friends before eventually being part of the group rallying north campus guys that wanted to walk back together. Ben fell in that group and we walked to north campus together in a group and briefly talked. Ben doesn't remember this. Fast forward approximately 1 month of me attending any possible men's crew party trying to cross paths with Ben and running out of luck. While studying in the Trabant chapel, my friend mentioned she was going to the wine and cheese crew party and asked if I was going. Obviously I wasn't since I didn't really know anyone on the men's team, except for one guy on a technicality, Ben. That initiated my friend to do a deep dive investigation on Ben, and he passed all background checks and character references (thanks to all the men's team members for giving rave reviews). She found him at the wine and cheese party, and mentioned me, despite Ben having a date. Fast forward another week or two and at crew formal we both attended solo and were forced together on the dance floor by mutual friends and the rest is history.

We were introduced to each other at the crew formal by some of Hannah's friends - danced the night away and the rest is history!
